The mask test

With the increase in the spread of coronavirus in the Segrià region (Lleida, Catalonia), the Government of the Generalitat is considering forcing the use of the mask in all public spaces.

At Florida Atlantic University, an experiment was carried out with water, glycerin and laser light to visualize the behavior of the aerosols that we emit when we speak, cough or sneeze. In Catalan Television (TV3) we do not have so many resources and we have repeated the experiment with the smoker that beekeepers use to numb bees, when they extract honey from their hives. Under certain lighting conditions it can be clearly seen to what extent the air we exhale circulates freely without a mask and, instead, is retained in the mouth and nose when we use a mask.

Everything seems to indicate that at the end of the summer we will not have a tanned face.
