The adventure of submarine Ictineu

During the nineteenth century Narcís Monturiol designed and built the submarines Ictíneo I and II. A century and a half later Pere Forès has continued the adventure. After 10 years of work, on November 5, 2015 the submarine Ictíneo 3 submerged to 1,000 meters deep in the Canyon of Villefranche-sur-Mer (France) and obtained official certification. It thus becomes, one of the 3 unique submarines operating in the EU of this kind. A week later the reporter Pere Renom accompanied them on board in the first campaign of marine biology to observe how marine life is organized in almost total darkness.
