Pere Renom

“We have given you, O Adam, no visage proper to yourself, nor endowment properly your own, in order that whatever place, whatever form, whatever gifts you may, with premeditation, select, these same you may have and possess through your own judgement and decision […] We have made you a creature neither of heaven nor of earth, neither mortal nor immortal as the free and proud shaper of your own being, fashion yourself in the form you may prefer.”

XXXII Prismas Prize for dissemination

published on 1.10.2019

After the meeting held on September 28 and 29, 2019, the jury unanimously decided to award the Prisma Prize for the best video of scientific dissemination to the report “De-extinction: revive a species“, by Pere Renom and Cari Pardo, broadcast on Television of Catalonia. The Jury highlights the scientific rigor, creativity, clarity and simplicity to present a complex issue and make it accessible to society, incorporating a diversity of voices and locations, bringing a historical context and innovative explanations that communicate a topic of advanced genetics to a wide audience.

The Prismas are an initiative of the Coruñeses Scientific Museums (A Coruña City Council) to reward the dissemination of scientific culture, and also to support professionals who work in this field.
