Talk: Toubkal, ascension to the highest peak of Atlas
The Toubkal with its 4,167 meters is the highest peak of Atlas. Pere Renom rose to the top together with Jordi Renom and Marc Durà on December 30, 2011 and recounted the experience in the Hiking Centre Badalona. In the talk he explained the technical and logistical aspects of the ascension, such as the approach, the path, the planning stages, weather conditions or the material used. But he also included some observations on the landscape of the Atlas, the ethnography and culture of Berber, and a description of the city of Marrakech, where the expedition ended.
